How to Sew Stretch Cuffs

In this blog we show you how to sew a stretch sleeve cuff. The technique is the same to sew a stretch neck band or waistband. The video assumes there are no notches or markings on either the band or the garment bodice or sleeve, and teaches you how to get even tension all the way around the cuff by dividing both the cuff and the sleeve end into quarters.
Part 1 - This 2 minute video shows you how to mark the quarters and pin the cuff to the sleeve end.
Part 2 - The second video shows you how to sew the cuff to the sleeve end using either an overlocker (serger) or a stretch stitch (or zig-zag) on your sewing machine. If you choose to use a zig-zag stitch ensure the stitch width is quite wide and stitch length is normal.
