WHAT DO I GET WITH MY PURCHASE?
Please note you are purchasing a digital pattern that will be sent directly to your email inbox after payment. You can print this pattern at home on A4 or US letter-sized paper or take it to a print shop for large scale printing (AO size). *You will not receive a hard copy printed pattern.*

Stichbird dress
This pattern went together well. Instructions were easy to follow. I am pleased with the finished garment and am thinking of making another dress in a lighter weight fabric.

Stichbird dress, loved the elegant yet casual dress
It was good. The photos for the v neck marking the seam line to pivot is dark, and I would've been clearer about how to do the v neck uf some guidance about what to clip, the facing or the interfacing. Maybe someone more experienced would know it immediately. Also, at what point is the line in the pleats ironed, a note on the pattern would be great, or added it to the legend box?

Stitchbird
Great. The neck opening is a little snug.

Already made two!
Love this pattern! I am pregnant, so the pleat on the back has made this dress ‘bump friendly’, but I know it is totally my style and shape for post-pregnancy. The pattern itself is super easy to follow. I love that the photos and diagrams clearly show right and wrong side of fabric. Quick to make up - I made the dress in an afternoon. I bias-bound my second version on the neck with some funky pre-made bias tape and I prefer this finish, rather than the narrow facing in the pattern, but this is personal preference:)

so nice made it twice
This was a great pattern to use and I get nothing but compliments on the finished product

Fabulous Pattern
I love this pattern and have already made a dress and a top by shortening it and keeping the back a little longer than the front. I used Thai silk for the top and cotton ikat that I just purchased in Uzbekistan. Instructions were very clear and the printing was easy. I have already bought the Classic Pants and the Dove Dress. Can't wait to try them.

Simple, stylish and comfortable
I have purchased a number of patterns from The Sewing Revival and never been disappointed. The instructions of the Stitchbird dress are clear, super easy to follow and the end result so easy to wear. The tips for ways to finish the garment give them a professional look. I love the front and back pleats and how they make the dress hang.

I cannot figure out how to print it out to size.
The Sewing Revival
Please view the downloading and printing video. From the Main Menu click RESOURCES/DownloadingYourPatternFiles. You might like to skip through to the 2minutes 55 sec time to see how to print the different layers. Make sure you open the pattern print-at-home file in ADOBE READER (you can download this app from the link on the website page above) so you have access to the SIZE LAYERS.

Love the design, sizing was a bit inaccurate
I'd admired this pattern for a while before buying it. I used the published measurements to decide on a size but the dress was at least two sizes too big and I had to make major alterations before finishing it. The sizing is actually pretty close to Australian RTW sizing, in my experience. I do like the style and can see that I'll make it again, but in a much smaller size. The directions were clear and the pattern came together easily for me (beginner level sewist with 40 years experience).
The Sewing Revival
Hi Sue, I trust you followed the size chart (not the Finished Measures chart) to choose your size? Yes - our sizes are very close to that of standard NZ and AU RTW sizing, so that also should help when choosing.

Stitchbird dress
The stitchbird dress was fairly easy the make, I had to read the well written instructions a few times to work out how the back pleat was constructed but worked it out. Small tip make sure the notches are well marked it will make it a lot easier. I made the size 18 it looks lovely but might go down a size next time, it’s a very roomy and comfortable dress. The only negative is I thought the neck facing was a bit narrow so might experiment with making it wider next time. I can see this pattern being one of my favourites

Pattern by my queue
Haven’t used yet but looking forward to it

Super pattern
Another winner from the Sewing Revival. Easy to print and put together. Instructions are easy to follow. I made this in a cotton linen blend and am very pleased with the result. With every one of these patterns you learn something new, so they are great for confident sewists like me.

Stitchbird dress
Excellent . PDF pattern and instructions spot on and easy to follow. Have worn dress several times and have fabric to make more.

Great success
I’ve now made three off these dresses with great success, waiting for the arrival of more material to make the fourth!

Easy to download. Clear instructions

Well done!
This is my second purchase from Sewing Revival. This pattern also downloaded and printed out without any hiccups. Once again, the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I am not an absolute beginner, but it would also be suitable for anyone venturing into this area for the first time. There is good help available from the website if anyone is stuck. Well done Sewing Revival.

Take that Auckland humidity
I’m ready for a hot summer with two of this design dresses.

Easy and Chic
I've made this dress for myself. I acquired some retro fabric and the donor wanted a dress made. I was wearing my Stitchbird dress and she said she'd have one.I had to buy a new pattern in a smaller size as she is so little. As I've made it before, it was even easier this time. I love this dress in any size - it always looks so classy and a little different!

Stitch bird dress
Excellent pattern perfect fit!

Fabulous pattern
I have wanted to make this dress for ages. I am not really a dress wearer. I just love it,so easy to put together awesome instructions so simply to follow. In fact I have made 2 dresses in the last few days. One as a surprise for a dear friend struggling a bit. Roll on summer.
