The trick with internal pockets is to sew them so that they sit nicely inside the garment and the attachment seam sits just inside the garment seam.
a) With right sides together, pin each internal pocket piece to the side seam of the front and back of the bodice. Align the notches on the bodice sides with the notches on the pockets to ensure the pockets line up when you sew them together.
Sew from the very top to the very bottom of the pocket piece.
b) Press pockets outwards
c) With right sides together place the front on top of the back of the dress and align the side edges. Pin the side edges together and ensure the pockets align. Sew down the side seam at a 1cm (3/8") seam until you reach the top of the pocket. When opposite the pocket, slightly increase your seam width so that your side seam sits just inside the seam that attached the pocket to the bodice. This method ensures the pocket sits INSIDE the side seam (and makes the garment look more professional). Pivot at the top of the pocket and continue to sew a normal seam allowance on the outside edge of the pockets all the way around. Pivot at the bottom of the pocket and continue all the way down to the hem.
d) Voila!
